  • I would like to have any help, but sadly there is none. Nor my parents or my friends can do anything for me. I can't help but suffer
    acute
+20 months ago I was a completely different person... I am so sad because I want to be that person again. I want to be me
I'm done with it. I'm so tired of living with constant mental physical torture and discomfort.
After a year and a half with T, I feel defeated. Honestly, tinnitus ruined my life. I'm young but I feel old, sad and tired.
Are Benzos helping? Not anymore for me
    acute
Also not for me anymore. They are probably poison in long term. If we could at least off ourselves with them... but these stuff are weak as shit.
I find myself more on the suicide forum than here these days.

I've seen some tinnitus sufferers on those forums unfortunately.

I hope you will wait for Susan Shore/University of Michigan devices to come out...

Many people report getting the ability to cope with loud tinnitus after about 2 years...
I feel electricity in my brain, a weird buzzing, a sound like a bad tuned radio in my whole head and a steady high pitch tone.

Ive tried to pm you but didnt work. Can you pm me?

I used to have that electricity too, I actually liked it compared to the high pitch electrical sound I have now. I felt like you did probably just this past Monday and for no apparent reason the sounds got much better on tuesday. Just hold on and it could get better on it's own, it just has to be long enough for Lenire and/or the Michigan device.

It might get better for you
I want to hang myself asap.

Understandable. Noise is torturous. Could be the limbic system. I had 1 good day then it returned upon awakening.

Looks like you got tinnitus around the same time as me and you are only a couple of years younger so I totally get where you are coming from.

Chances are it will reduce naturally over time. If it doesn't there's a pretty good chance that Lenire / bimodal neuromodulation will be able to reduce it, if not there's a pretty good chance that you will habituate.

Was in that situation for about 6 months. Do read my story here. I posted it a while back. I just have to pull through it! It takes time. Be strong!
i am going to become the benzo princess, yay. my life is a derailed train

This is what this fucking crap does to us.

It used to be effective now my T is even worse. The noises are so loud and reactive.

I had lost at least a year of my life as a result of T. Hopefully all you will end up losing is a year or two, and not more.

You live in Spain - such a cool and nice country - at least you have That going in your favour.
I am beginning to wonder if my Invisalign treatment may be related in any way with my tinnitus. I'm still suffer so much.

The dentist extracted my second left premolar, was a perfectly healthy tooth. She said she had to make space in my mouth to reposition the rest of the teeth... I was never feel happy or safe with the decision to extract that tooth.

Dentists seem to do this (extract teeth for very shady reasons) all of the time. My mom had been a victim of such a dentist too...

I'm not sure if Invisalign contributed to me getting tinnitus, but it started halfway through my treatment. It was a particularly stressful period.
Hi acute, hope you're doing well. I remember posting below you on a thread about circumin a few weeks ago so I wanted to know, have you tried taking it yet? I've been taking it for about 2 weeks now and was curious if it has had any affect for you, given our situations are similar. Let me know!
    acute
Hi CroakyBat, I'm sorry for the delay. How are you feeling? Hope you feel better. I started with curcumin but I have not been very constant and I have not noticed great results, probably due to not having been consistent with the taking. Do you feel any improvement in your T since the use of curcumin? -Sorry for my bad english-
    CroakyBat
I'm actually doing pretty well, thank you for asking! I do believe my ringing has improved since I joined the forum a few months ago, but it's hard to tell how much..it's definitely still there but it is not all that intrusive lately. Most importantly, mentally and emotionally I am doing a lot better. I'm starting to stop focusing on hearing the T at every moment and getting back to enjoying my life again.
    CroakyBat
I think that alone has been a big reason for the improvement. I have been taking the circumin each night, but I'm only taking 1000mg. I believe higher dosages were giving me headaches and nausea. I've also been taking magnesium and ginkgo biloba.
How are you feeling now? Would you say your T is quieter (or has a pitch that is easier to bear) compared to how it was back in June?
    acute
Hi Bill, thanks for your concern. It's very kind of you. I haven't noticed much improvement in my T since May... which makes me sad and makes me feel despair. I have several sounds, but the most prominent now is a metallic and electric hiss in my head, kind of like a sound made by the air escaping from a punctured tire. No pure tone most of the time.
