@ASilverLight is right. The science is going to emerge with time, and be it through FX-322 or whatever else, we're all going to be okay.

Absolutely. It's something I'm struggling with at the moment. Hoping for progress without seeing any is hard to live with..

A lot of people who say their tinnitus has "gone away" will not have it actually gone. Hard to believe it will just go away. Like is there any truth to that? "It can just go away." Idk maybe.

I think it's entirely dependent on the route cause. With noise trauma it isn't likely, but things like infections have a better chance at full recovery.
Mine isn't noise-induced and it's nearly fully recovered.

Many people have had their tinnitus actually go away. Does depend on the cause, but even then stranger things have happened. Just think people who had tinnitus due to earwax blockage. It is possible if we can treat the root cause — and that's the issue. We can't (yet).
