I went out to get some special asian seasoning for a dish I'm going to make tomorrow, a car honked his horn right next to me and it just seemed so oboxiously loud suddenly. I almost jumped. Got real scared of a worsening there, but then I had to remind myself - "My T isn't reactive".

@Lurius I don't know if it has effected my T, as it is a multitonal mess and hard to discern from time to time. I need to add that I also have mild hyperacusis since a couple of months (e.g. warm, irritated ears after prolonged exposure to music). Now it seems more moderate and I hope that this subsides.
Lurius
My hyperacusis went away after 5 months, so that can definately happen. But don't hide in silence. For hyperacusis to go away, you need moderate exposure to noise.

I hear you my man. I gave up being outside of my own home without hearing protection (unless I was in a place that was absolutely guaranteed not to have "jump scares", like an empty graveyard) over 8 years ago. The world is a noisy place, and no one thinks anything of that noise only us. I wont leave my wellbeing in the hands of people being "considerate" ever again.
