  • Approaching 3 years... Finally overcome most of my fears (flying, headphones, etc) but still fear loud places. Ears still a buzzing. :/
Today, I overcame one of my fears caused by T. I no longer fear movie theaters :) Now onto my fear of headphones... Star Wars 7 is great.

Thats good. For ne its gonna be planes. Got a long ride in sunday. If it doesnt spike, it means im tolerant to noisy environments

The 'getting over the fear of headphones' was a save for me! I always loved my music & revisiting them again pretty much saved my life! :D
Start quiet & work your way up. Confer with Mr.T until you find a compromise. I normally do what I like though these days. T doesn't own me! .\m/ (>.<) \m/.

I have to overcome airplanes too. Someday haha. My biggest fear of headphones isnt the volume but the fact they make my T more noticeable while they are on. :/ My volume has never been a cause for concern luckily :)
Habituated for the most part, but still annoyed every time I stop doing something T immediately takes over my thoughts :/
My T is now directly linked to the amount of attention I give it. Only hear it when I think about it, which is sadly a bad habit. Progress!

You're a lucky man! It would take a freight train, passing by five feet away, for me not to notice my T.
When im surrounded by family my T is quiet. When im on my own the T screams. Life is trying to tell me something.
Give your life a purpose. I attribute me surviving my onset due to finding a purpose worth living for, even if I suffered in the process.
When will it end? I know mine is mild but the lack of being able to relax in a quiet room is driving me nuts :/

me to my t is high piched I put the TV on high volume to drown out the noise.
Just dropped myself from the AM101 study the day before my initial screening.. Hope it was the right choice.

Does that happen ? People getting worse from am101?

There are a few on here who have claimed it made it permanently worse, others have reported progress after 2 weeks, but when you are only 3 months in, that progress may have happened anyway. You also get a spike immediately after the injections that is supposed to last a couple weeks. Just dont want to put myself through that when im just now getting used to what I have.

I see, good luck mate :)
