@PortugalTheMan it takes time. I've had new sounds come & go, & then come back again. I've got a new sound since getting this cold. The thing is, nothing in life stays the same - even our T. We have to learn to accept & adapt. Don't let it get you too down. I wish I was with you to help cheer you up. <3

Let's talk about our new sounds. I'll go first - mine sounds like a bird chirping intermittently. It's quite a sharp sound, very different from my others. What different sounds do you have today? And also, what are you up to today? I bet you have awesome weather. The weather here in England sucks atm.

I hope it's like you and the sounds disappear :)
I'll explain, when I wake up is when I suffer the most with my T.
I have that urge to go back to sleep and I can't because it bothers me. Then I get thoughts that this is going to be suffering forever and I get depressed.

As today there was a new sound in each ear, and I panicked when I woke up.

The weather here is great, 30 degrees celsius and I live in the north of Portugal :D

My T today is a 15khz sound a little loud in the left ear, the new sound in the right ear I can't hear it anymore.

Today I am working, alone as always at home, which makes things more difficult.
Are you already working today or are you still recovering energy? :)

Louder in the morning might indicate jaw/neck issues. Did you get them checked? Tinnitus has an elusive etiology, few comorbidities might be contributing to your case...

@PortugalTheMan I used to be exactly the same. Waking up made me really depressed. The idea of never being able to just lay there in silence again. However, I always managed to fall back asleep. I was very lucky like that. Once you get use to the idea that the T is probably here to stay, things get easier because you decided - yeah okay, this is not great, but let's make the best of a shit situation.

I won't lie and say I am 100% happy these days, but I try to be, and that's a good place to start.
So the new sound in the right ear has already gone!? That's awesome! See, you panicked when you didn't need to. And that's the point I try to make. I hear different sounds all the time, but there is literally no use in worrying about it, because they will either go or they won't, and we have zero choice in that.

I'm sitting most of the time. I run every day, but it doesn't stretch my back or my neck.
I can try doing some exercises to see if I have any relief.

Oh you lucky guy! 30 degrees! It's 19 here, and cloudy & raining. That's British summer time for you. Meh.. I wished I lived in Portugal. Then I could surf all the time :)
I'm sort of working/resting today. What are you working on? Sorry if I've asked before. I would just like to add, if you ever need to speak to me or you're feeling down, then just drop me a line on here. You know I am about <3
