@PortugalTheMan My case has been slowly deteriorating over the last months, and I'm listening to this symphony on maximum volume 24/7. Sometimes it's very intrusive, but I've mostly habituated and usually don't take any meds. Sometimes I use melatonin, and very scarcely I use Hydroxyzine to sleep, but most often than not, I'm able to sleep without either of them.

It's all about severity, but I think that you can cope to a great length without meds, as long as habituation kicks in.

Eventually you will sort of get sick of crying and you will become more numb to the T annoying you. I think you don't have to see this numbing as being bad because it allows you to think about other things and make more progress from there. I use melatonin 3mg sublingual pills often & sometimes plant based pills that contain valerian. You can also try some tea for sleeping in the evening. I recommend atl 2h b4 bed.

I don't want to go off-topic, but I admire your strength @Stacken77 It takes a lot of mental gymnastics & resilience to remain that chill, and that says a lot about your character. Thanks for sharing your story!
