@aura how's your tee? do you continue with the new tones? when I went on vacation last month I acquired new tones also with everyday sounds and it is very frustrating as we are going backwards.
aura
@PortugalTheMan it's been 2 weeks with the new sound, a high pitched, itermintent, a morse code " eeee". It's the worst of all. I was about to ask here how could i mask it,nothing seems to work...
aura
Plus the high frequency insect thing...and the loud hiss...and the old clicking morse code ( but i hear the last one only from time to time).
PortugalTheMan
@aura don't you ask yourself how are we going to get rid of this? I ask myself every day.
aura
@PortugalTheMan , to be honest, i don't think i'll ever get rid of it. I only hope that i will habituate one day, just like i did 10 years ago. My biggest fear is that more sounds wil appear. Because that's what happened in the last months.
aura
My tinnitus also appeared in january after the most stressful period of my life.
PortugalTheMan
@aura it also appeared to me after 2 deaths of my family members.
It's not a coincidence.

When these new sounds appeared, were you stressed?
aura
@PortugalTheMan you can read my old posts for more details...but long story short i developed tinnitus for the first time in 2012 from what i remember. It took me about 1-2 yrs to habituate. After that, i lived a normal life until january 2021 .
aura
In january i developed debilitating headaches ( vestibular/stress migraines from what i've been told). I had them almost daily for almost 2 months. Because they were resistent to any kind of pain killers, i had to take a break from my job and my life that period.
