@NYCGuy nope - that means your PT is most likely vascular in origin.
NYCGuy
@Steph1710 Dr said when you press the vein in the neck is vascular but when I press my TMJ behind my ear, then is TMJ. He said TMJ can cause PT or T.

I also did MRA/MRV and they didn't find anything, two different doctors saw it. @Steph1710

@NYCGuy I had multiple scans & seen multiple doctors over the past 3 years. I'm now finally on the waiting list to have two operations for my vascular PT, which until three weeks ago, they told me didn't exist. Only a neuroradiologist can properly read the scans. And also, MRA and MRV aren't good enough to detect PT. It has to be an angiogram with contrast dye to actually see the tiny blockages in the veins.

If I had just listened to the doctors who thought they could read the scans, and hadn't pushed for a CT scan, then I wouldn't be getting the help I need.

I mean, yours might well be caused by TMJ, but don't just take what the scans or doctors say if it's causing you problems. Also, I just pressed behind my ear, & it also stops the PT. But remember the main vein that drains the blood from your brain, does run behind the ear.

I am missing the sigmoid sinus bone which holds that vein in place. One of my operations is to encase the bone again to divert the sound away from my ear drum. The vein is right next to the ear and that's why I can hear the sound. I am also having a stent to open up a narrowed vein. All this makes me laugh. I can't believe they were telling me for three years that my scans were normal- lol.
