Hello there, it's been a while since you posted and it's been a while since I logged in.

My tinnitus has gotten much better in the 4 years since it first developed.

I would say I'm habituated at this stage, but I would also say that's been largely due to the improvement of symptoms.

Nobody could habituate to the horrible tinnitus I had at the start and it's beyond patronising that the healthcare providers - ENT and NHS audiologist - thought that was a reasonable ask. When I first posted here, the BTA had a line on their website that said there wasn't a strong correlation between tinnitus symptoms and the reaction to it. Utter, utter lies.

There's a world of difference between dealing with light hissing and the cacophony of signals that were raging at me in 2018/2019. I remember sitting in a quiet meeting room with colleagues and I could hear an undulating alarm-style sound over their discussion. I thought "I can't possibly live with this".

I'm planning on putting together a video of sorts on my tinnitus experience, I will post it here when I do.
