It was acoustic trauma about 4 years agao. That just gave me reactionary H at first, so just pain when exposed to very loud noises or using headphones.

Then just recently after being exposed to a high frequency noise for a long time I developed T and the H is worse. Headphone use made it much much worse. Now any exposure to loud noise makes it a lot worse.

Struggling with the stress of it a lot currently.

Sorry to hear that headphone use is so insidious. Sounds like stem cell is the way to go for u. Ur T developed in November right? Only a few weeks before mine
SmallRonnie
Yeah it started early november and has been there mostly since. Sometimes it's better and sometimes it's worse.

I'll see what the ENT doctor says but I don't think there's anything he can do to help me.

Will go get the stem cells prob whenever I can. The FX-322 drug is the next best hope but that could be a few more years until it's out and might never even work either.

Yup totally agree unfortunately I just don't have a lot of faith in pharma drugs atm-too many factors between development and when they enter the market. I too don't feel I'm gonna make it 5-10 yrs to see them either so here's to hoping Susan comes out first.

It's a shame no habituation started happening in that time for u, I'm in the same boat tho. Aside from prescribing u drugs I doubt the ENT will be helpful. Wishing u all the best with stem I'm sure it'll help esp since u know ur cause.

One last question do u physically feel urs or is it just the noise? I feel mine physically in my head which is the worst.
SmallRonnie
At first my ear felt full but not anymore. Sometimes I get pain too. It's just a loud high pitch noise most of the time though and lack of sleep and stress makes it worse but it's a vicious circle.

I have gotten some habituation, i'm not as crazy freaked out as i was at first but it still doesnt let me fully relax. using a white noise machine at night helps with sleeping

U right about that a very vicious cycle so u no longer have the severe anxiety etc? That's good I'm in the middle of trying to break that. Glad u r able to mask its really hard trying to mask such a high frequency.
