Hello! I did a QEEG when T started but did one neurofeedback session and T spiked bad! Tell me more about your QEEG and Neurofeedback, how many sessions? are you going to a specialist for it?
Hi yes sorry to hear ur T spiked mine didnot. I am doing MyNeurva with Dr. Starr. My T is less of an issue at the moment but a I am suffering from severe PTSD, a TBI, eye symptoms from Slight Nystagmus in my left eye and low T in the center of my head. Dr Starr was able to see all of this on my brain scan without me telling him the details. I am so relieved someone could finally validate my experience.
Thank you. Wow, your Dr could see much more than what mine received the entire report back but it showed my 'auditory cortex' between A-F scoring was off the charts F. I asked the Dr about the programming for the neuroF after the one session and found out it was just a pre programmed generic one they did.
Still interested, but only with a Dr that does a fMRI or something else with an individualized sessions based on what they can see. What state is the Dr in? I'm sorry about your TBI as well.
Hi @LostinTX that's ok the TBI doesn't surprise me due to upper cervical injuries & I still wonder if it's reflecting the recent SGB I got. We are doing the NF remotely but everything has been custom from the QEEG report to how they conduct my training.
The doc and his assistant monitor every session and have customized it for my specific needs around anxiety (I can't even sit for the full session etc so I have breaks).
A few Q.
1. Your tinnitus is low now? And you think it's due to LDN (4.5mg)? Is it only in your head and not ears? What does it sound like? Can you modulate it with facial movements/sound? You don't think this has anything to do with the benzos you were on? Did it ever fluctuate before?
2. Can Neurofeedback help tinnitus? are you doing this for your PTSD?
Hi @DebInAustralia Yes my T is low now I can't think of any other variable that would have lowered it besides LDN esp since I'm leaning towards an AI/disease cause. Benzo use has been inconsistent and nonexistent since last Friday. It has been a gradual consistent decline in reactivity and volume over the last few weeks.
@DebInAustralia I can modulate it with certain neck and jaw movements (clenching teeth) so there is a somatic component. It is definitely consistently a 2 but what I'm not sure of is if I'm noticing it less bc of my other factors (PTSD & Eye Issues) My T has always been centrally in my head.
@DebInAustralia I am doing Neurofeedback for both my nystagmus and PTSD instead of Tinnitus though my Neuro Doc thinks it could potentially help T. It's not my focus tho just to be clear.
@DebInAustralia i was so impressed with the QEEG bc the neuro doc didnot kno the location of my T or details of my eye condition yet he was able to confirm that I have severe PTSD, the location of my T, the eye condition in my left eye only & that I have a TBI. My Eye Dr reconfirmed the eye condition as well. My neuro doc thinks he can help with all the above (T as the wildcard) in the next 5-10 sessions.
