Thanks @Damocles I have't been wearing ear protection much lately at least in environments that feel safe…and I was in my car with the windows up which is pretty well insulated. But, that motorcycle was probably 130-140db. I suppose I may need to rethink my ear plug game…

What I don't get is, how the guy riding the motorcycle doesn't have screaming tinnitus…
I use to be the guy with the loud exhaust. He will be the guy that gets the t also
My uncle is darn near def, has screaming t and rides his Harley thousands of miles a year. Doesn't change his t. Always stays the same
But sounds a lot like my life between 2009-2012.
Were you wearing hearing protection, or no?
