Oh thanks for letting me know I haven't been on anything moving like boat etc recently though. Still thinking of going to the ER and wasting my time there lol @Rockman
Thank you and yes, what Rockman said- the guy with this Mal De Barquement was in Success Stories thread. Unrelated- but I also came across this research paper recently and wonder if any neurosurgeons will look into it? Just sharing :) https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnins.2022.758575/full
You've had so much dramatic change in such a short period of time. Try to give yourself some time to reach a new normal! In the meantime I trust your tinnitus symptoms will taper like mine.
@blamingeverything ty so much for the words of encouragement yes it was 3 months of severe anxiety and severe T now I'm trying to wrap my head around this debilitating eye condition. I honestly don't know if I have another 3 months in me to deal with this chaos but I'll have to find a way
3 months is 100% longer than you've been dealing with this to date, a lot will change and I trust you will have gotten a better grip on everything by then as you sound like a strong and determined person. I'll be tracking as we're in the same class.
@blamingeverything u r too kind thank you so much for the much needed encouragement :) Please do stay in touch about your situation as well.

Have you looked into BPPV. You may just need something like the Epley Maneuver. Vertigo doesn't always go full blown. When I had BPPV I only had two instances of mild vertigo attacks. The rest just imbalance and feeling like my movements weren't on track.
Hi Again- Just chiming in after getting an alert I had BVVP initially. It was for almost 3 months. Severe rotary type vertigo with nystagmus for 1-2 min max every time I laid down turning left or sitting in a chair turning left only.
Intermittent dizziness as well walking up and down stairs. Closing my eyes created weird dizzy feeling and anxiety, never had before. I think your symptoms are different than the typical BVVP, no?
@LostinTX ty so much for chiming in! So I don't know much about BVVP except I don't have much dizziness or vertigo, at least I don't think because I associated vertigo with spinning and this is very much slight rocking as I move. I have a ton of eye strain more so in my left eye and this difficulty focusing on distant objects.
@LostinTX@GoatSheep However it does stick out that this is better when I'm not moving/laying down. I also just read that it can occur with just eye movements. How do u go about getting diagnosed? An ENT? Did your nystagmus go away I hope?
@GoatSheep@LostinTX So I also spoke too soon as I'm feeling some dizziness and head pressure on the top of my head as I walk around, sound familiar? Going to book an appt with my ENT, stat! Just got prescribed Prednisone, curious if this helped either of u in the meantime?

To get diagnosed you got to the doc or PT and they put you in a certain position. If nystagmus and vertigo occur then they do a maneuver to reposition the crystals in your ears. For it to resolve may need multiple visits. Mine took 3.
