@Steph1710 I want to get to a place where it really doesn't matter how loud my ears are ringing, because it doesn't have any affect on me whatsoever…that's basically like being a tinnitus Jedi!

Problem at the moment is that my since of distress seems to be directly proportional to volume…. How do you break this connection???

@Barry098 I'm not sure I know the answer to that. When my T is louder, it still stresses me out a bit - but nowhere near like it did in the beginning. I just try and mask it (if I can) and busy myself so I'm distracted. After a while, you do start to forget about it.

I think the thing which has gotten me through the tough times, is accepting that this is a part of me now. I try to joke about it lots, and I tell everyone I meet about it. You'll be surprised by how many people tell you they have tinnitus too! I don't feel so alone when other people tell me about their T. So, that also helps me.
