Sorry mate.

Hope this is something more manageable than tinnitus alone.

Thanks @Damocles Im not so sure if it doesn't get better it's highly distressing and it seems the usual therapies are a "maybe" for improvement but more for management of symptoms depending on the underlying cause of the disorder. I have always been terrified of anything messing with my eyes.

I hear you.

Luckily I've been living with Visual Snow now for 18 years, and it hasn't gotten any worse, so not a big worry in my life.

But escalating visual issues along with tinnitus would be quite scary, I understand.

@Damocles Wow that sounds equally distressing. What is this connection between tinnitus and optical issues? It feels like my eyes are out of focus like I'm spaced out or swimming under water partially my eyes are not tracking my movements so things around me move out of sync. More convinced than ever this is AI/MS.

@IntotheBlue03, that's a good question. The annoying answer is: there may be one, as much as there may be none (not annoying because it rhymes, just because the answer isn't an answer at all). However I noticed I had Visual Snow about two years before I developed mild tinnitus after a live concert. So to me, one may be an indicator that you are susceptible to the other, in either order.

For example: I notice some people who come onto the forum after having developed tinnitus, later down the line complain of Visual Snow issues (whereas my experience was the other way around). Likewise though, there is apparently a forum for Visual Snow sufferers somewhere on the internet, and I'm sure if one were to visit it, plenty of them would never have experienced tinnitus...

So... add it to the great big pile of WTF that are our current circumstances, eh.
