How long have you been battling the bullshit hyperacusis
Wrfortiscue
No joke. Tinnitus can be escapable but hyperacusis knocks you on your ass
Leila
I feel you, @Foamearplugssuck! When my hyperacusis started, it felt as if my life was over. But after 6-9 months of living the life of a hikikomori things started to improve. Fingers crossed the same is going to happen to you!

@Rockman I'll hit the one year mark in july. I know that's not a very long time, but I'm just so tired of this bullshit already. I've been reducing my noise exposure as much as possible since then and it feels like I haven't made any improvements.
Foamearplugssuck
@Leila thank you! I'm at the ten month mark now. I haven't noticed a lot of improvement to be honest, but I know H can take a while to heal. trying my best to hang in there.

@Foamearplugssuck I hear ya loud and clear. I'm about 16 months in with very little improvement. I have had noise traumas but nothing severe like a gunshots loud. I don't get it

Some people just take a few months to recover
Foamearplugssuck
@Rockman yeah I don't know what's up with that either. people can do crazy shit to their ears and be fine, yet here we are. I feel like people with loudness H tend to recover faster....I'm jealous of those who are fine after a few months.
