What were you taking it for? I, myself, don't believe steroids help with tinnitus but do help with SSHL.

Hearing loss in the high frequencies with tinnitus and distortions but now I have a morse code Tinnitus which really reacts to any sound 
ah I see. Well don't beat yourself up about it. When we first have these hearing issues, we do what the doc tells us and only learn from our mistakes. I think prednisone made my tinnitus worse in the beginning as well.
