Yeah, its nice live in a place where its illegal to physically discipline a child. Its initiatives like this which make me proud to be Scottish.
Free prescriptions, childcare, sanitary products, and education (to an extent) is also pretty sweet.
But we also have the highest incidence of drug abuse, child poverty, and a lower life expectancy that other parts of the UK. Everywhere has its issues.
I'm still a supporter of independence though. Mostly because Scotland doesn't have a strong voice in the UK: we never vote Tory, we didn't want to leave the EU, and so many shite ideas are piloted here.

Just found out that I am of Scottish heritage! Super pleased because I have always loved Scotland and the Scottish people - and, I have never voted Tory, and I voted remain.
Man, I need to visit Scotland one day. Edinburgh and Glasgow are my top destinations. Need to do a better job in deciphering that Glaswegian accent first though..
