I am currently having an episode where I hear it loudly. It has gotten better over the past couple months and for some reason it is getting worse. I also hope it is not permanent I have had it for 7 months now. It is probably because I have not been protecting my ears. Do not stop protecting them at all costs. This could take years to recover from.

There is a product sold by amazon that you should try "Lipoflavonoid plus" it is a vitamin for ears. Please do not get lazy like I did. I have set my ears back a lot and I did not do all that I could to help them heal and I am now regretting it.
