Hi Erika, Im doing better that at the beginning. Hyperacusis and reactivity is better, but I still need earplugs for public transportation, doesn't listen to music and almost no TV/ films. However I had a great vacation on November without thoughts about T and I survived plane and boat trips (with earmuffs).

Now I sometimes struggle again, my mind and anxiety doesn't seems to calm down and often flares up with catastrophic thinking. Also last visit on ENT clinic showed that my neck is a mess and doctor thinks that its main reason behind my T right now.

@Eliska wow glad to hear of your improvements and a much needed vacation! My T is so so reactive and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to rehab it. Not only does it react/spike to sound, but to my blood pressure/heart rate increasing. I don't over protect, but that doesn't seem to help. Have TRT consult on Wednesday.

I just saw your second post now. I feel like reactivity and mutli-tones keeps us on our fight or flight feet way too often, I hate it. I would do anything to remove the reactivity. Although mutli-tone, baseline is quieter therefore I could habituate if no reactivity.

When he says your neck is a mess, meaning disks out and such?

I had crazy reactivity at the beginning too-breath of my spouse sleeping next to me was spiking me, movement of bedsheet, car outside etc. I wore earplugs all the time. I started to walk outside in the quiet park or forest to just listen to nature sounds. I still have it, but much better.
