@ErikaS thats awesome you have found some relief!!! I actually have found a video on YouTube called the tinnitus zapper that matches the frequency of the hiss I haven't used it in a few months. I gotta say this hiss is really getting to me last night
Sammy0225
I had a bad episode the hiss turned electrical and really high pitched like my head was being swarmed with electrical hissing static It was horrible. It seems my hiss has gone back to being somewhat sensitive now I need to avoid fans again

@ErikaS i know the feeling of having unmask-able t mine has been that way since day 1 back in July of this year. Multiple tones invaded my ears and also Drone humming. I'm left with hissing and low ring. I think at one point I had 5 tones going at it all at one time it was maddening
I agree from what you said we are dealing with inflammation

@Sammy0225 when the hiss is out of control, it's awful. I have told my family if it just stayed low and nonreactive, that alone would completely change the impact of T on my life. And yes, I think inflammation is a huge part. I am going to be seeing a new functional med doc on Jan 5th to specifically address sinus/ear inflammation to see if that will help the healing process.

I'm trying to "attack" T in all ways I can think of as I am 3-4 months in & feel I can make the most impact now. I'm doing Neurofeedback, craniosacral, normal therapy, then adding functional medicine doc. I read @Marin 's success story and it has helped guide me. I am also speaking w/an ENT today who is willing to do a steroid shot in my R ear to see if it will help with the reactivity/inflammation.

Yours decreasing in rings shows you can continue to improve and that it could very well be inflammation based. Nerve inflammation just takes time, I lost taste and smell 2 yrs ago from Covid and it's still not completely normal. It's about 85-90%, it improved so much and I'm not even bothered by what isn't completely normal, but that was nerve inflammation so it took time.
