Tinnitus Talk Support Forum

Any way you can, basically! I personally had to use benzos one/twice a week. Try the Oto app? That helped me a lot early on. I also found tinnitus related podcasts to be super helpful in getting a better grip on the situation. ATA's show is great, Tinnitus Talk Podcast of course, and Outring TInnitus Podcast.

Better days will come.

Definitely just be super cautious of what doctors give and put inside your ears as it could put you into catastrophic level as @Travis Henry can back up on this information.

@Sammy0225 @blamingeverything thank you for the support. I'm on a micro dose of Ativan at night (.25mg) been on this for 2 1/2 months, have not increased at all. It's splitting the smallest dose you can get in half, so I don't fear this causing issues. Plan to wean in Jan or Feb.

@ErikaS thats good it doesn't effect you! Just hang in there like many of us with multiple tones and reactiveness they will eventually fade away or decrease in volume. Typically by the 6th or 12th month you should hopefully see a difference. Stay strong

Yeah stay away from meds. Only take benzos 1 or 2 times a month if you have too

@Sammy0225 when you had you 4-5 tones, were they "constant" pure tones? Or did they beep or fluctuate like 2 or 3 changing notes for a sound ? I hope that makes sense. What scares me is I have 1 or 2 that do this and it's maddening.
Sammy0225
@ErikaS yes I definitely had 2 of them constantly fluctuating kinda like a wave in the ocean constantly going up, down, up, down. It was never a constant pitch. And when they spiked it was full blown haywire up, down, up, down , up, down
