Does it have drop of hearing and pressure? Is it gone now? I know first hand how scary they are, hope it's gone already!

@DimLeb, I have many and they usually do not freak me out but this one took much to resolve. Maybe 1/2 hr. Perhaps it was more of a spike by it was only one ear. I don't get the muffled hearing or fullness with most

Had one of them the other night, that high pitch which usually dissipates stayed for quite a while. Scary as hell they are when they linger longer than they should!

Hi @Forever hopeful I'm doing OK generally still having good and bad days. Have a morse code in my left ear for 2 plus weeks now but learning to tune it out. I think it's jaw related this time though. How are you?

@strawberyond Glad to hear you are doing ok.

This afternoon, I got the pleasure of my left ear pure tone tinnitus returning. It's been gone for over a year. Damn. Why why why. Now I will need another hearing test. I hate those.

Oh no sorry to hear that after all the trouble youve had after the concert :( Has anything happened to set it off? Or has it just randomly started for no reason?
When it happened a year ago was there a trigger to that one? @Forever hopeful

@Strawberryblonde, I went out to dinner for my friend's birthday last week and it was a loud place but I had in my heavy duty ear plugs with my sealant. I don't believe that had anything to do with it. Particular because it's unilateral. I've had this on and off since 2020. I had it for 4 months in 2021. Then It resolved

@Strawberryblonde, i've had it come and go for a day or two over the last year. Only maybe two or three times. It hasn't lasted this long since it resolved in 2021. Going on 24 hours. Of course I upped my Klonopin yesterday to keep myself from going off the ledge.

My hearing fluctuates in my left ear. No one can explain it. I suspect I've had some loss again.

@Strawberryblonde, I'm going to try to get in for an emergency hearing test this week and I'm going to go to urgent care tomorrow and get prednisone.

It's just such a bummer because you get better and then you get worse. And you never know what to expect.

The ironic thing is the increased tinnitus from the concert seems to have been settling down. Go figure.

Definitely get that hearing test at least you can find out if anything has dropped hearing wise on an audiogram.
As you say it defiantly won't be the restaurant as you were very well protected :)
And not sure who else you could possibly see for these issues as these hearing issues can be mind boggling and so complex :(

@Strawberryblonde, thanks for all your support. I had to go to retirement dinner last night. OMG another hideously loud restaurant. 80- 90 decibels The only difference is I had my 25 db filters in instead of my solid filters that block out more. It was quieter when we arrived.

@Strawberryblonde so I'm second-guessing myself right now. I'm home beating myself up why didn't I put the solids in. But I had to pull my earplugs out towards the end of the night and I could tell I was getting decent protection because the difference was quite marked without them in.

@Strawberryblonde, started to Spike yesterday afternoon so I don't think my laying in bed at 4:27 in the morning with my right ear spiking has anything to do with the restaurant. I was there for two hours. I hate having to live like this.
