Sorry to hear that @Foamearplugssuck. What caused the spikes? I'm afraid NAC won't do much unless there's acute cochlear damage present.

@Foamearplugssuck Do you have any sedative over-counter sleep, or anti-nausea or allergy meds at home? A pill may help (all have primarily ingred. "diphenhydramine"). Don't eat anything high in sugar, salt, caffeine which increases blood-pressure. Drink lots of water, calming tea... I'm sorry you're going through this again. ((hugs))

@Damocles @Stacken77 it was either construction noises I was exposed to 1.5 weeks ago or the library I had to go to a couple days ago where there lots of screaming children present. or maybe I'm having a migraine attack? hard to say, but I feel like shit and my ear is screaming at me. it's probably all three tbh.

Start taking the NAC and.. well you know the rest (avoid further noise exposure etc.)

I doubt the increase will be permanent.
