Slowly but surely. Emphasis on SLOWLY.

Hi thanks for posting this - I am new and this is the worst thing I have ever had to deal with. At present I have quite a new symptom fleeting burning sensations in only one ear. Happens a few times per hour and lasts seconds. Is this familiar to you?

Hey @Joe Cuber hope all is well with you? How do you manage to not tense your jaw especially when you are not aware you are doing it? That's what I struggle with.

@Joe Cuber i'm gonna have to try harder to remember like you say or invest in a huge bag of never ending lollipops or something lol :)

@Joe Cuber I chew endless amounts of gum to keep me from clenching and grinding.

Does it get easier? I'm on 3 years next month. I haven't been on here in a while bc of all the gloom and doom, but I don't feel it's gotten much easier. I just got on an anti anxiety med. (here comes the banter about ototoxicity)

I looked at posts from 2020 and crying and it was 3 months in. Hahahahahaha. What little did I know? Clearly that this was now my new life. Heart breaking.

@Tara Lyons I'm 7 years in with a worsening in may 2022. For me it does get better even though I still have shitty days were I want this thing out my ears and head. But I really just take it day by day until there is a decent treatment as I can't do much else with it so I try not to stress too much about it. Easier said than done though.
