I only know what has worked for me. I was very careful for the first year to year and a half. I always wear earplugs outside the house, avoid obviously loud noises and don't panic if I encounter an unexpected loud noise. If I am around noise, such as eating out, I try to spend the next day in quiet at home. I take breaks from sound every day, my family is very loud. It helps.

I know it gets distressing hang in there! The set backs have caused me to go back too eating soft foods again I'm hoping to bounce back quickly, I hope

@Guywithapug @twa @Sammy0225 thanks guys <3 it's just so hard. Yesterday I had ear pain that basically expanded to my left side of my face with a pounding headache. Idk if it's TMJ or TN or both. But now I'm really concerned that all this is caused by an autoimmune disease.(Dr thinks I may have lupus) and I haven't seen one positive thread.

Also @twa Im sorry your family is loud :( My family is loud too and doesn't quite get what I'm going through but they try to be quiet for the most part.

I get the facial pain when H gets bad it radiates down my neck and sometimes around the jaw area I had it all this past week with the setbacks
