Have you been checked out by an audiologist and ENT yet?
ErikaS
@SarahMLFlemmer i don't know where you live, but if my tinnitus was caused by any toxin from a medication, I would be seeking help through functional medicine doctor who specializes in detoxing.
ErikaS
@SarahMLFlemmer I so wish I got my T from covid because there are astonishing simple functional med protocols that are ridding peoples systems of the spiked protein and things like tinnitus, smell, taste, brain fog, etc are all resolving. So I would definitely consider searching functional medicine docs in your area and explaining your case and ask them if they think they could truly help you.
SarahMLFlemmer
@Strawberryblonde yes, he admits it is most likely caused from Accutane but also says allergies, which I HIGHLY doubt. He gave me a script for Nasonex and told me to use a netti pot.
SarahMLFlemmer
@ErikaS I have a Naturo that I work with but I'm not confident she can help me with my T but maybe I will set up another apmnt with her. She probably thinks it's connected to Lyme and I am not doing another dose of antibiotics. She did do some labs that I need to go over with her, maybe there is something there that she can help with. I'll reach out to her.
SarahMLFlemmer
@ErikaS how did you develope T? You and I are prob too early to start panicking but I know why we are.
ErikaS
@SarahMLFlemmer always good to check and see who could maybe help you and at least find the root cause!

So I got mine from ear infection 5ish months ago. Unfortunately, the infection must have gotten into my inner ear because I have hearing loss/damage at very high frequencies in right ear. If the damn infection didn't travel into inner ear, I wouldn't even have the freaking T :(
ErikaS
@SarahMLFlemmer and because I have that sudden hearing loss/damage, I most likely am stuck with some kind of T, but it's the reactivity and super high frequency (12k hz and up) awful whiny piercing pitches that I need to diminish over time. I have other tones in the 2000-3000 hz range but they are nothing compared to the high pitch reactive zings I get
SarahMLFlemmer
@ErikaS That sounds awful! I think mine is pretty high frequency too.

When I plug my right ear, I can't hear as good as when I plug my right. I'm wondering if I am experiencing SOME kind of hearing loss.

This is one of the most awful ailments out of all that I have. They say time will help.

Do you have children also?
ErikaS
@SarahMLFlemmer It is truly awful. I would take on many other ailments or tragedies over this. But my hope is we will have decent treatment(s) to turn to in the next 1-5 years.

I was in the throes of IVF/infertility journey when this hit me. Since T came on, I took a leave from work and all has been put on hold to build our family.
SarahMLFlemmer
@ErikaS I am so sorry to hear this. This is the worst ailment I have so far. You will be in my prayer today!
