He devised the idea of TRT and 'treated' William Shatner when he developed tinnitus during filming of Star Trek back in the 1990s.
He doesn't have too many supporters here on TT as, well to be honest, he's a bit of an egotistical prat and decided to throw severe tinnitus sufferers under the bus for his own personal acclaim and gain when he failed to find a clinically successful treatment.

Jastreboff does not have a device, he says to wear sound generators and not worry about your tinnitus. The lady from the ata was not cured from TRT. It can help depending on your Tinnitus. It will not lower the volume. It can help with hyperacusis if you have it.

@SarahMLFlemmer - to answer your question about TRT, it in itself is not considered a way of getting rid of tinnitus - it is designed as a way of helping someone live with tinnitus (habituate).
Sometimes tinnitus will resolve itself over time, or fade over time, it can happen whilst on TRT but will probably have happened naturally anway, not because they were on it.

@SarahMLFlemmer Jastreboff has never developed anything like Dr. Shore. He is responsible for a METHOD he claims will solve your problem by making it easier to accept and live with through habituation. But his method is deeply flawed and does certainly not work for everyone. He also claims that if this method does not work for you, it's because you complain too much.

He does not have a big fanclub here. But his treatment can work. Basically, the brain can de-focus the tinnitus. His treatment what does is help you de focus from the brain, and train it that T is not an intrusive beast. For some people works very well, for others not that much. What it does is try to make a different neuronal arrangement in your brain, as all neuromodulation tries to do.
