Susan shore has gotta be our best bet in terms of a reduction more than an outright cure.

@Strawberryblonde So, I heard it can reduce T by 75% (IDK where the #s came from but yeah). So, once you use the device, how long is the T supposed to stay at a lower volume until one has to use it again?
SarahMLFlemmer
@Guywithapug what's the difference between her treatment and the Lenire thing? I thought Shore's treatment was supposed to have long-term results but @Strawberryblonde just informed me otherwise. Can you elaborate for me Strawberry? =)
NYCGuy
Phase 2 the treatment was 6 weeks and seems the results stay after 6 months, different from phase 1 and 4 weeks treatment

There is an entire post explains everything in the forum, give it a read and explains everything in details
NYCGuy
Is the only treatment that can come up in the next 2 years but everything else seems make take longer
NYCGuy
For me a 50 or 75% reduction in sound, would be like a cure, the T won't bother much at so low levels

@NYCGuy Thank you for the info! I think I've seen the thread but forgot. It's hard to hang onto something that seems so far away and I personally am unsure if it'll work for at least my specific reason I got T. Trying to learn how/what it means to habituate.
Guywithapug
@SarahMLFlemmer I would completely forget about Lenire, never had a placebo controlled study. Shore Device on the other hand aims to calm the hyperexcitability of the DCN. Her company Autlricle is working with the FDA for approval. Very short summation :)

We have to hang out there for a little bit more, we have to have hope and something will rise in the horizon for us. For now habituation can be our friend and is not easy to accomplish but it can be done, but take a lot of time and mental strength.
