Will you need ear protection at work? I pressume you are not working from home?
DeanD
Yes fortunately I am working from home and decided to start today with a tapered return. The recent ear plug fiasco has caused digital audio to be an issue again (when it had settled - FML!) - that and the screaming pitch has made the return horrendous.
Work are being good and will help restrict calls.
Just wished I hadn't tried to better myself, or found the risks of custom ear plug fittings before going for it.

It sounds like your ear drums themselves are very sensitive, along with nerves around them. At least you know now, hope in 2-4 weeks this spike calms down and you get back to where you were before the fitting!

Be extra careful when working. Not worth the risk.
DeanD
@ErikaS - it seems that way. I've been a bad way on here for a couple of months but never really considered really ending things until today.
The volume is way louder than anything I've experienced so far, pitch is brutal, shows no signs of receeding (unlike my other spikes) and truthfully I'm suffering every second.
Can't believe I went from a good place to suicidal over ear plug mouldings!

@DeanD I can understand your mental state and level of frustration as you were just trying to do something to help yourself. It's not fair, and again we have NO strong practitioner to lead us every step of the way, so we do what we think is best. I know this doesn't help in the day in and day out torture, but if you could improve from where your last "worst" was, try to believe you can do it again..
