If I had a $/£/€ for every person who didn't think they were going to make it in the first couple of months, I would have funded a cure for all of us by yesterday.
I suffer with GAD/OCD/depression and have done for years and it can be maddening when T gets thrown into the mix, but it can be done, but it'll take a while, calming the nervous system through any means you can will be the starting point distaction methods such as ASMR on YouTube, gardening, funny film, colouring can help and one day at a time
@tpj I think that's the route I'm leaning towards, I've been medicated 1/2 my life until recently, I'm just worried about meds making it worse. And thank you <3
I have panic disorder and agoraphobia which was so bad when T started along with sciatic nerve problems. Last May I was a wreck. Mentally and physically. Took work, but I can tell you it gets better. You went to therapy- you are putting in the work. I'm so much better now. It takes time.
Everything @Strawberryblonde said. Meditation, walks, candlelit and Epson salt baths, camomile tea, painting, nature.. anything that can give distraction and some peace. Keep going. Buy self help books. Try different therapy.
I've had this also I know the feeling of TTTS spasms to anything heavier than a tooth pick falling on the floor. Hell even a plastic bag at one point causes ttts to activate. You can beat this. It has not been easy I have High blood pressure, asthma, TTTS, hyperacusis, Dysacusis, and reactivity. Shit I have had it all lol @PennyCat but slowly it's gotten better in time. It's not over don't doubt your self
