Chronic doesn't equal permanent. Even H and T handbooks for physicians outline that doctors shouldn't use that type of language (permanent, nothing to do, etc.) with their patients, as it is counterproductive. Hope that helps a bit :)

Don't worry about that. I would seriously put that out of your mind. Everyone I've talked to that is worth a grain of salt in terms of "reliability" has said the duration is less important. The brain is plastic. Dirk de Ridder said T might become "more difficult to treat" after 4 years, but even he was unsure about how valid that was. The 5 month thing....forget about it.

Yeah well, it is chronic, but there is still hope for future treatments. The guy who was treated with Susan Shore's device in the first trial said that he already had mild T for like 10 years and severe T for another 5 years or so, but it still worked to bring it down (see related Research thread).
