@yeezysqueezy I was taking 2.5 my of valium which really helped but trying to get off of it. There is just so much controversy on what meds you can and shouldn't take. Like every single doctor I've talk to says valium is a safe drug, been used for decades. But maybe its just not good for people with tinnitus who knows.

Doctors don't know a lot of things. I got half a slide on tinnitus and not a thing about drug effects on hearing. I used a small amount of ativan at the beginning of my most recent T worsening but the valerian helped me get off of it. Some people never have any issues with benzos but some people have trouble

I wouldn't be super concerned about the valium. just work on slowly weaning off of it. if you've been on it for awhile definitely don't want to cold turkey but that's a pretty small dose. you could cut it in half/quarters and then even do every other day dosing if it helps.

Valerian is thought to act as a natural benzo so i think that's partly why it helped me to sleep and not use any Ativan! But also should add that I've never felt any need to increase the Valerian dosage

I sometimes just have a hot milk before bed. Seems to help me relax and fall asleep.

5mg melatonin, 400mg magnesium glycinate, and 25-50mg hydroxyzine (prescription). I can fall asleep okay with these, but I wake up a lot. My issue is sleep maintenance insomnia, but if yours is more related to falling asleep, these could help.
