Hey @DeanD thanks for checking on me bud. I've been actually doing really good man the reactivity has died out a great deal. The past week I was hit with a series's of loud events (thunder strike 95DB, plastic slamming into floor 87DB, and a pan slamming on the stove, with no pro on)no noticeable changes in my t or H afterwards

So kinda what I was referencing to @Joe Cuber " . I believe that the nervous system plays a crucial role in this" seems to be what's been helping me lately. I've been focusing all my healing on my nervous system. Reactivity and H at all time low currently. I hope all is well @DeanD we had similar symptoms. We can beat this man

I don't wanna categorize our condition but I think I was a severely bad case. Similar to @AnthonyMcDonald i was living in my restroom with 4-6 fluctuating tones, reactivity, Dysacusis, and loudness H. I'm not saying I'm 100% healed but I'm hoping I keep making significant progress. Wish everyone the best

@Sammy0225 would love to hear how you're working to calm the nervous system down. I am right there with you, I agree our nervous system plays a huge part in this for many. I cannot seem to calm the reactivity to constant running sounds.

@Sammy0225 wow that's my current situation I've been living in my bathroom for over 1 month and a half now with all of those symptoms you listed. I know you haven't 100% healed but how long did it take to make just a bit of progress?
Sammy0225
@ErikaS @stacey my apologies for the late response I've been trying to stay busy lol I'll definitely share what I've been doing! I'll break it up into parts cause it's kinda long!

So if I hear a sudden sound I've been teaching my brain to immediately refocus back to what I was doing before I heard the noise. This teaches my input that the noise wasn't important and that I'll be ok.
Sammy0225
The other thing is I'm associating sound to more pleasant thoughts instead of negative ones. So if I hear a distant ambulance out side I don't immediately cover my ears but I associate the sound with maybe a movie I saw that involved a ambulance so my brain input is shifted to a memory of a awesome movie I once saw instead of a memory of me being paranoid
Sammy0225
What fucked me early on was I kept my nerves constantly on high alert I trained my brain to focus on every single sound and to constantly check if it made a difference in my t or h. This type of thinking trained my brain that this was important to me and to always stay on high alert. This input of thinking was keeping my nerves on high constant alert.

Calming my nervous system has tremendously helped my reactive tinnitus along with almost completely getting rid of my ttts. Loudness H is still present but it's getting better (: I hope this was helpful @ErikaS @stacey

@Sammy0225 rockstar Sammy, thank you for sharing love <3 My worsening after Mexico really high jacked me. I am worse mentally now than I was before. Trying to dig myself out, and I will use some of your advice.
