Mine started many years ago, and low frequency a few years ago, but this higher and mid frequency tinnitus wasn't so bad to give me anxiety or depression until 16 months ago. Just seems to have gotten even worse since then, plus always changing, which makes it harder to adapt. Today is better than yesterday - back to more of a hiss instead of squeal, plus got 5 hours of sleep vs. 2-3.

@RunningMan Yeah, I feel you on the changing tunes. Mine changes all the time. It's more of a static noise for the most part but it can change to an Eeeeeee and the hissss and then static. I'm glad you've gotten more sleep. I've heard that's really important. Do you have ear pain from time to time as well?
RunningMan
@Mo8409 No, I haven't had any ear pain. And the high freq T doesn't seem to react in any way to external sounds. The odd Lo frequency T is left ear only and actually goes away with sufficient ext low freq sounds, although sensitive to low volume low freq, yet not painful. So that's one good thing. Mine is still in that hiss state since last evening. Sometimes it's more broken up and sounds more staticy.
