Hey @Nick47 thanks so much for sharing. I am glad the gabapentin gave relief! Wow what a feeling. I tried up to 200mg of Gabapentin and it may have helped some but made my depression notably worse unfortunately. I wrote an update in the tES thread. Will give this route my best go for a few months, but if no improvement, my psych has a script for Oxcarbazepine waiting for me lol

That's a shame. Depression is one of the sides some people get. It just made me realise that medications that slow nerve activity may benefit us as it seems plausible the hearing loss has left irritable nerves

@Nick47 I agree, I also think those of us, very small group, who had inner ear infection mainly cause our trauma leaves inner ear inflamed and nerve endings inflamed from infection.

@Nick47 do you take the Gabapentin with your daily low dose benzo?

I took it out of desperation due to a back injury. It lowered my T and reactiveness and removed the metallic shill sound. I woke up next day to a low soft hiss. Rinse and repeat. I stopped and told my GP who was not interested. I've ran out of my small supply I bought online.
