I've been taking high doses of magnesium and B vitamins for two months. Haven't noticed any measurable improvement. The efficacy likely depends on the underlying cause.

I take a ton of supplements, including magnesium glycinate for over a year and magnesium l-theronate a few months. No change in tinnitus, good or bad.

Generally a great supplement to take either way, based on my understanding from smarter people. I've taken it for years, I don't think it affects T.
Mo8409
Hmmm maybe I'll give it a go. How long have you had T?
Mo8409
@blamingeverything That was my worry. If it made it worse or not but it doesn't hurt to try. How did you get your T?
Mo8409
@Ngo13 how long have you had your T? What causes yours?
Mo8409
@SilverFox What caused your T? Still vitamins are great to take!
SilverFox
@Mo8409 It was caused by common cold :(
Mo8409
@SilverFox Seriously?! That sounds as unfortunate as the way I got mine.

Magnesium glycinate - 100 mg nighty. I haven't noticed any difference with sleep or tinnitus. I've read it's good preventative along with NAC, so I took extra before dental work.

I took magnesium threonate for a couple years. Mainly to protect against oxidative stress. Threonate can cross the blood/brain barrier. I still worsened. Can't afford it now.

@Mo8409 hearing loss for me. There's virtually no risk in trying it.
