honestly i don't notice a difference and never did previously, never crossed my mind about mixing caffeine and tinnitus. i love my tea far too much to be on decaf. Although i do drink a decaf before bed.
I drink mostly decaf. I haven't noticed any issues. But there were many days that I had up to 3 cups of regular coffee, and I didn't feel my tinnitus was affected, yet some people say caffeine makes theirs worse.
I too, was a coffee lover but quit 3 months ago with onset of tinnitus. I've tried decaf and still had a spike but I'm assuming it had something to do with the creamer I used? Everyone is different and you don't know until you try.
@kingsfan Decaf has some caffeine, but it's a fraction of what regular coffee has. It varies depending on what decaf you're drinking, some have more than others. It's a small enough amount to me that it's never been an issue.
Just drank a cup, we will see what happens never noticed it before... but sometimes I am questioning what sounds are in my head and what sounds are real?!?
@Juliane (and others) Look into Clipper Super Special Organic Decaf coffee. They use organic "swiss water" process which removes over 99% of the caffeine, compared with around 97% in normal decaf.
It has a rich Arabica taste, really good imo. I use this after lunch, and have 1 cup of regular coffee a day (between 10-13).
@kingsfan I miss those days of drinking coffee, I was a nitro cold brew addict in college lol. In college I would have a cold brew every morning, then a cup or two of black coffee throughout the rest of the day.
@kingsfan & @RunningMan With the 97% caffeine removal in decaf you are talking about essentially negligible amounts of caffeine. A regular cup has 95 mg so decaf would have 2.85 mgs of caffeine.
@Ryan Scott I didn't realize decaf had to so little. Coffee is the last thing I have to live for. Gave up smoking, drinking, playing in bands, Disneyland.. what else?
@kingsfan I know exactly what you mean man. I gave up drinking, cigars, saltwater fishing, coffee and etc. Really hurts your quality of life giving up everything you love.
