It takes a min of 3 months for the brain to create new positive pathways. I've done hours and hours of research and it's what's been my main point of focus. I'm still learning. If you're suffering from reactivity please do yourself a favor and look into how the nervous system plays a big role on the brains inputs. A simple google search will send you into the rabbit hole. Best of luck

Has your tinnitus lowered or are you just managing do much better? @Sammy0225 muce to hear you are doing really well :D
Sammy0225
@Strawberryblonde hi my friend <3 yes it definitely has gotten to a lower pitch but every other couple of days it gets loud but I'm no longer bothered by it. My brain is learning to filter it like AC noise or Refrigerator noise. Also I've gone back to sleeping with a fan! No reactivity and music gives less reactivity! My approach is similar to @Marin. Creating positive neural pathways seems to Be my way through this

Signed back on just to echo this and comment YES. I had a huge realization over the weekend that NOTHING will work until I do the work on my limbic system. Reactivity is my debilitation factor, central gain model includes THREE areas of the limbic system. This is a huge, significant reason why @Marin got better with DNRS.

I have made the decision to STOP searching and looking outward. I am pausing tECS because my system/brain with its reactivity is too sensitive for it, and this only pulls me back mentally. Started my daily DNRS practice yesterday, it is HARD work and my brain will push back but its what I can do to help heal in my quiet, controlled environment and doesn't require me leaving the house.

Thank you for sharing your input, Sammy. I am signing off/out again now as I need to limit my time on electronics and keep moving forward. So much love for you and everyone :) So proud of you too!

So glad to hear this @Sammy0225 after how you were in the beginning to were you are now is night and day :) will have to try what @Marin has done to heal my own limbic system as its been haywire for years it must be fried lol

Can you repeat what DNRS stands for pls? @ErikaS

Anyone get worse reactivity but improve with DNRS?
Wrfortiscue
My reactivity pretty bad these days to any running sound but my loudness is not crazy bad

Nice man! Really happy for you. Could and can you when it's loud hear over everything. I have hyperacusis and i get ear pain alot but the worst is the constant loud noise over everything. If mine got say 50/75 lower I'd be over the moon.
Sammy0225
@PennyCat ty so much! And my TTTS most days is non existent. Onset was easily triggered by conversations and things clanking or hitting the ground, once I controlled anxiety TTTS slowly faded with time.
Sammy0225
Thank you @ErikaS and @Strawberryblonde y'all are such great friends I appreciate both of y'all's support. And don't worry if I make a full recovery I'll make sure I create a detailed log of what helped specifically.

As of now I still have another 2 months of practicing new input pathways and unfortunately that means I have to an abandon all forums, research and communication. It's the only way the brain can forget the negative responses and reinforce the positive ones <3

If anyone stumbles on my profile my onset symptoms were; TTTS, Distortions, Dysacusis, electrical reactivity, Hyperacusis, loudness H and multi tonal tinnitus. I never had true noxacusis thankfully
