I hate to even suggest them given what happened to me.. but have you thought about talking to the doctor about an anti-depressant? There comes a point where its better than the alternative.

Even the little bit of Mirtazapine I take removes the edge a bit.

@SarahMLFlemmer Does Amitriptyline seem to help much at all for that, or just for sleep? Nortriptyline 50 mg didn't seem to help me with either.
SarahMLFlemmer
@Tryn2BHopeful I'm already on Amtriptiline for sleep now. =| it's also an antidepressant and it's probably making me worse already.

Do you feel the sound has gotten louder or your perception of it has? Amitriptyline can do that unfortunately but so can many antidepressants, what works for one will not work for the other.

@SarahMLFlemmer You got this! Maybe try to cut back to decaf coffee. Regular coffee can make your tolerance for the sound less, cause It to be super loud, and induce panic attacks.

@Joe Cuber thanks for the support. I have all the answers I need, just none of them that I like. But, God's ways are higher than mine.

@SarahMLFlemmer just don't fall to far down the rabbit whole before reaching out for help. Ad's suck as much as they can help. It's the fine line these drugs play. It's hard to try another once you get burned :(
