I firmly believe accutane has many people suffering long term side effects than what is officially reported. Although I didn't get tinnitus, maybe it did damage my ears to where I was susceptible. I did get chronic hair loss from it though - my hair is half of what it was before and it's been 4 years

However I know someone who took two rounds of accutane when he was younger - no permanent side effects except clear skin. So I think the permanent side effects are still relatively rare for the amount of people who take it.
