23. 33yrs. LOUD music + family history has often made me think there's a hereditary component.

@Ngo13 A babies scream?! Whattt. How loud did the baby scream? I thought acoustic shock would be like a gun shot or firework.
Mo8409
@UKBloke I'm curious too because my father and brother also have it. Did your family members get it the same way? Do you have hearing loss?
Mo8409
@Tryn2BHopeful It does feel like a lifetime but hopefully it will fade to a livable level or go away entirely.
Mo8409
@Joshua Macleod Oh wow! Do you have hearing loss? Does it get easier for you? So sorry to hear that you got it so young.

Well, I got tinnitus at 38, I'm still 38. It was caused by a low dose anti anxiety drug called Busphar that I took for 3 weeks. Ears are healthy, hearing is good. 4 months in for me.

@Mo8409 yeah the doctors don't believe me either. Sometimes I don't even believe it. He definitely screams louder now. I think it had to do w/ how close to my ear+still recovering from birth+lack of sleep. Haven't lost hope yet that it will go one day!

@Mo8409 Great grandfather had Meniere's - prob not sound related. Grandfather; loud bombers WWII. Mother; 60's rock concerts. Both blamed sound. Father, however, attended same concerts etc and not a squeak of tinnitus. Personally I believe there's a gene involved somewhere.
