@pleasejuststop Not sure how loud Barbie is by itself, but the loudness also depends on which IMAX theater you go to. You're from NY, theres a few IMAX theaters there. U should avoid Lincoln Square 13. It's one of largest theaters in the world and its surround sound system is insane. U can literally feel ur rib cages move and vibrate if anything remotely loud occurs in the film. Look for a smaller joint IMO.

I saw it in a regular theater and it was loud even with headphones and earplugs.
I'm here right now and I'll give an update on how it goes.
It went fine with earplugs. Not as loud as other theaters.
