The trouble, as I see it, is that people's access to resources & opportunities differs. So people are not equal in terms of being able to access things that increase quality of life.
Even on this forum, one can easily see how access to certain resources, supports, & opportunities makes a difference for people. Because it provides them with an environment supportive of recovery. I know it would make a world of difference for me if I just had a quiet place to live in with family.
And if I could live in a place where I could actually spend some time outdoors, or at least open windows to get some fresh air without being subjected to extremely heavy traffic, including sirens (all of which I hear indoors as well).
@MadeleineHope I agree completely and I would so love to live close to nature and quiet myself - but also not having to work hard to make a living. Imagine if we could take off 2 years from work just for healing and not worrying about making ends meet...
@SarahMLFlemmer I actually agree with you. Something is definitely out of balance and not right with the world today. I have been feeling that for years.. So scary and many people think I'm weird for saying it. But things have not always been so disturbed as they are now. I remember other more balanced times on earth
@Juliane I believe we are experiencing some of the prophesies about the end times that the Bible talks about. But there's HOPE! Have you ever read the Bible?
@SarahMLFlemmer I only read parts of it. If the end times are already described in the Bible, where is the hope? Can we change them? Or are we doomed to live through them ?
I actually can't work due to the severity of my condition, but that brings with it pressure too. Is there any way you can take some time off? And would you be able to afford renting a place somewhere quiet for a while?
@MadeleineHope I am sorry to hear that. But of course you should not work when things are so tough. Work is overrated! I just started a new job so feel it's too early to take time off. But I just might do it anyway... Renting a place somewhere quiet would be possible. But would miss my family and friends too...
The hope is that Jesus is coming back! Some believe we will live through the 7 years of tribulation, but protected by God through it and some believe we will be raptured before. Jesus is coming for his bride and all who confess with their mouth and believe in their heart that He is LORD will be saved!
John 3:16 says that, "For God so loved the world that He gave his one, and only Son that whosoever shall believe in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life!"
that means that whoever puts their faith and hope and trust, that Jesus is LORD, either when they take their last breath here on earth, they will enter into the kingdom of God. Or, if He returns before that, we will enter into the kingdom of God.
