Ugh!

Yep. Took off ear defenders downstairs to have a short whispered conversation with mum when this horrendous drill sound started from next door. Not sure what kind of drill they were using but it was so loud & vibrating I could feel it in my body if you know what I mean.

Immediately stuck my fingers in my ears, no time to even reach for ear defenders. It was so bad I was curled in a ball on the floor crying. Mum had to run outside & bang on the patio window next door & ask them to stop for a minute. Got my ear defenders back on & into a room at the other side of the house. Ears now extremely sensitive again & tinnitus is really LOUD. Back to where I was.

Took 3 months to even look like calming a little from one thunderclap. After the drilling incident, probably looking at 6 months+ for this

That is heartbreaking. And I hate the fact that it was simply a matter of bad timing / bad luck. :( I hope you feel better soon. Not every spike lasts for months.

@ECP Thank you. I hope so, but it was really bad. The worst pain I've felt with since it started.

How are you feeling today? Given that recovery for T and H can be non-linear, I am hoping that you will heal faster than you expected from Friday's setback. Sending hugs.

Have you tried taking NAC capsules to speed the recovery? That has been helpful to some people on this board.

@ECP Due to a rare gastric issue, my GP advised me against taking NAC due to possible gastric side effects. Condition unfortunately impinges a lot on the meds I can/can't take, even supplements.
