Please let us know how it goes. Given all of the neutral or negative feedback about the medical profession on here, I haven't really sought any experts out. I would be great if you found someone who can really help.
@WCJohn Well back from the "tinnitus consult" Pretty much a bust. They didnt run a hearing test because I had one before... so only to 8khz. They tested some masking sounds and might of found my tinnitus to be in the 8khz range. Testing some other hearing items...
Told me they we're between tinnitus treatment companies and I would have to wait 45 days for that. Told me to use the resound app on my phone like an hour a day. I asked about the reactivity and they seemed perplexed... I explained my tinnitus is lower in quieter environments not louder... asked about the hum I hear intermittently. No answers unfortunately. Sound therapy was the answer.
Ah man. That's a let down. What kind of audiologist "specializes in tinnitus" and is then "between" tinnitus treatment companies? I really appreciate that you followed up on this, regardless!
@WCJohn It really was some BS... unfortunately it just reinforces the overall sentiment here about the treatment of this disorder. So in October they will call me again, so until then try to "ignore it..."
