You may be having hyperacusis. Can you explain more? When did the tinnitus start? What has caused it? Have you seen an ENT? Hyperacusis will take time to fade, but fortunately it usually will fade within the year it started. It is a new normal to adjust and to accept. Try to face it calmly, knowing it will fade.

If I have H it's mild at this point. Plates and sharp sounds bother me a little. It's more the T then anything else at this point.

Long story. Health scare. Caused 5 months insomnia. Took some Benzo's. Tried 3 ADs. To cope. Off of everything for 2 months. Hard to cope. Thinking of going back on mirtazapine. Even though I believe it caused me sudden hearing loss 4 x in one ear. Once distorted hearing in one ear.

My T reacts to most foods. Neck movement. Jaw clench. If you touch behind me ear. Above my ear or touch my jaw. No pain. I can modulate the T a lot.

If I move head to left T gets much louder. From stretching the neck. Alcohol and suger are the worst. I have to avoid. Most foods make T a lot worse. I am sacred I will not be able to cope much longer
