I mentioned this on another profile, but have you tried doing sinuse rinses every day with a hypertonic solution? It can help open your eustachian tubes.
Sinus rinses come with packets that create an isotonic solution, so you'll want to use a little more than one packet to create a hypertonic solution.
You'll also want to hop on Amazon and buy the biggest sinus rinse bottle you can find. The smaller 8oz ones don't provide enough water to get a really good rinse. I think 17oz is the biggest I have been able to find.
I have a little of that going on, sometimes some spontaneous clicking, not to be confused with the TTTS flutter/thumps. But it seems like a minor issue for me compared to tinnitus, hyperacusis, and TTTS.
My ears have always clicked when I swallowed. I assume it's the eustachian tubes opening which is a good thing. I can also open them at my own will and they click then as well.
It's more the "pressure cannot equalize" that I find concerning, which would mean they are not opening which is normally caused by inflammation.
