Tinnitus is linked to anxiety, and since amitripyline relieves the anxiety, your tinnitus decrease with it.

But I don't have anxiety

Do you have any nerve damage? I know my dad takes Sarotex (amitripyline) because of it. It relieves the nerves, maybe it has a connection with your tinnitus?

I have tinnitus from tmj
ceauses97
yeah? tmj is kind of a nerve damage to the joint that connects your jaw to your skull. Amitriptylin loosens up the jaw muscles which helps improving the symptoms, in your case, the tinnitus.
