I had to give in and take zolpidem overnight after lying awake about 1 1/2 hours. Was hoping to avoid it. So frustrating.

@4alien2 I wonder if that drug is safer than the amitriptyline that I'm taking. sorry to hear that you have to do this too.

@Strawberryblonde I haven't been able to sleep correctly since I've gotten tinnitus. Before this I used to sleep like a baby come 8 o'clock. I'm really trying to get off the medication and just use sound therapy or whatever but it's not working yet.

I'm sorry to hear that still @SarahMLFlemmer . Sleep when it's taken away from you is horrid. I used to be able to just nap on the couch with minimal backgroind noise with my old T :( What kind of sound therapy are you using? Crickets? Pink noise? How loud do you have it?
